As homeowners, I think we should be able to shoot deer
if they come on are property to
tear up our stuff. For the reason they eat all of are
plants that we have spent lots of
money and time into. The fences don’t always work to
stop them from getting to our plants.
I like to see them but not in my flowerbeds, because
that is a lot of money going to waste.
I think people should have longer to hunt deer and be
allowed to kill as many as they want
so the population is reduced and maintained. Or some
scientists to find other ways to keep
them out of are flowerbeds. Like a noise the can hear
but we cant that makes them go
away or a smell that we can stand but they can’t so they
leave are flowerbeds alone. So
we think that there should be something done about the
population of the deer and
something needs to be done to keep them out of
flowerbeds because they cost a lot money.
If anyone has any ideas about repellants such as urine,
that is considered unsanitary to
human life after a period of time. If we lowered the
population of deer this way we
wouldn’t have any problems with deer related car
accidents. The hunters wouldn’t have to
wait for a season. Foresters wouldn’t have a problem
because it would give different types
of plant species a secondary succession and get the
problem of extinction out of the way.
The farmers basically have the same problems as the
homeowners so therefore if the deer
population was lowered there wouldn’t be any more
complaints by anyone that matters
except the hunters. For them we would pay them to come
exterminate and remove the
deer. They could do this on the farmlands as well IF the
farmers are willing to pay their
share.

You people are monsters! How could you want to kill
a poor and innocent deer that
just happens to walk on your property. What came
first the deer or the home you
built on its land. Killing is never the answer,
sterilizing the deer is the humane way to
control the population.

I definitely agree with you on the aspect that they
do create a lot of havoc. We have
the same problem with deer eating virtually
everything in our garden. However, I
don’t feel that homeowners should have the right
just to kill the deer that walk in
their yard. This raises a lot of issues to me on the
fact that anyone could then kill
deer maliciously and use destruction of property as
an excuse. Hunting is very
important to the balance of nature, but seasons help
to not over kill animal
populations. Why do you feel hunters shouldn’t wait
for a season?

As the forest, we believe that you may have a point;
your idea is very valid and we
have come up with a great solution! why not try the
elimination of toilets?! are you
serious? do you really want urine in your yard? do
you know how unsanitary that is?
is distributing pee all over your beautiful
flowerbeds really the best decision?
seriously. how will that decrease the deer
population?

Another way of controlling the deer population is be
hunting more, therefore, we
need to expand the hunting season.

How many car accidents involve deer?

I understand what pests deer can be around
households. But deer are only following
their instincts to find food. Have you thought about
putting up a deer feeder away
from your plants? I don’t feel shooting them out of
your yard is truly the answer.

I agree that deer can be rather destructive to
property. Our flower beds boarder
the woods and seem to be a tastey snack for our
neighboring deer. I don’t think
homeowners should be able to shoot deer out of their
yards unless buying a special
permit specifying proper situations. Have you
thought of putting out feed for the
deer away form your plants? We have found this
beneficial.
