The USEPA is proposing the following nutrient criteria to protect ecosystem health in rivers and streams in the Central and Eastern Forested Uplands -- Ecoregion XI -- :

Total Phosphorus:  0.01 mg/L

Total Nitrogen: 0.305 mg/L

based on aggregate conditions in reference streams.
