A Parting Thought


The goal of setting nutrient criteria for the protection of ecosystem health is important, but the reality of cultural “nutrification” will make implementation of nutrient criteria difficult.
The process of developing nutrient criteria should determine and incorporate the nutrient contributions from a range of existing land uses which have been managed to minimize nutrient loss.
