Jeff Blount

Jeff began working at Cacapon Institute in December of 2016, and has been CommuniTree Coordinator since the spring of 2018.  Jeff sits on the Board of Directors for both the Warm Springs’s, and Sleepy Creek’s Watershed Associations, where he heads the Advocacy, Adopt-a-Highway, and Pet Waste pick-up committees, and enjoys participating in stream monitoring events.  Jeff holds a degree in Psychology, is a Certified Massage Therapist, Master Gardener, and has completed NAACC online protocol and field training, assisting with field data collection in multiple watershed studies.  He enjoys hiking and biking in the woods, and though retired from professional play, still plays Frisbee golf and designs courses.  He is the Communitree Coordinator for Cacapon Institute, and is involved in “Building Communities from the Roots Up”, by helping community-based, environmentally conscious groups get together and plant trees on public and shared spaces in a fun and educational setting.  Jeff currently lives in Berkeley Springs WV.
